A three-family brownstone of 1889 with its parlour detail intact, currently used as an owner's duplex over a garden rental.

The house was built in 1889 in a row of eleven, all by the same builder, and is the only one on the block that never lost its stoop. Several neighbours had theirs removed in the 1940s to add a ground-floor entrance; the scars are visible from the sidewalk.

Inside, the parlour floor keeps its marble mantel, ceiling medallion and pocket doors. The mahogany balustrade runs the full three storeys. The stained-glass landing window is original and has one replaced pane, which you will find if you look.

The garden apartment is separately metered and currently rented. The certificate of occupancy is for three families.
