TENONABOUT

A tenon is a shoulder and a tongue.

It is the oldest joint in furniture and it needs no hardware to work. We build a modular system around that idea and ship it flat.

Furniture shouldn't end when the lease does. TENON systems break down flat, move in a hatchback, and build back up without a single lost part.

ABOUT TENON

A shoulder, a tongue, and no hardware.

The tenon is the tongue that enters the slot; the shoulder is what stops it and takes the load. Do that well and the joint gets tighter under weight instead of looser. Every piece in the system is built on that one idea, in birch plywood and powder-coated steel.

Assembly

Every piece is timed on a flat floor by someone building it for the first time. The number on the product page is that number. A printed sheet ships in the box and the same sheet is on the site.

Shipping and returns

Flat-pack boxes ship by ground carrier. Free shipping over $500. Returns are accepted within 30 days in the original boxes — this is a demonstration, so nothing here is a real policy.

Trade and contract

Studios, offices and short-let operators order the same eight pieces with volume pricing and a single delivery window. Written enquiries only, at the address below.
