Coming in for the first time.

What a first visit involves, what it costs, and what happens with your insurance — set out before you book rather than after.

A close crop of a smile, from below the eyes to the chin.

Three steps, and no surprises in between.

01Before you come in

You send us the short form and the name of your plan. We ask two questions nobody else asks: what you want out of the visit, and what you would rather we did not do.

02The first hour

Fifteen minutes of talking, then the exam — each tooth, existing work, gums, bite, soft tissue. Images only if the interval is due or something specific prompts them. No treatment on day one unless you are in pain and ask for it.

03A plan in writing

You leave with the next appointment booked and, by that evening, an email listing what we saw, what we would do first, what can wait, and what each part costs.

A lounge that reads like a small gallery: a carved totem, an arched niche, and a large abstract canvas.

Insurance, plainly.

We are in network with most major plans and can bill out of network for the rest. Send the plan name when you book and we will tell you what is covered before the visit rather than after it.

We do not display insurer names or logos on this site.

A pale blue rinse cup on the edge of a white counter, with one band of afternoon light across it.

Asked often.

How long is a first visit?

About seventy-five minutes. Fifteen of that is talking before anyone picks up an instrument, and that part is not optional.

I have not been to a dentist in years.

That describes most of the people who walk in. We do not lecture and we do not itemise your regrets. We look, we write down what we find, and we start wherever you want to start.

Do you take my insurance?

We are in network with most major plans and can bill out of network for the rest. Send us the plan name when you book and we will confirm what is covered beforehand.

What does a first visit cost without insurance?

A new patient exam with images and a cleaning is $189 flat, and anything found gets quoted in writing before it is booked. Every price on this site is invented for the demonstration.

Come and look at the place.

A first visit is an exam and a conversation. Nothing else is booked on the day.
