KIN — OBJECTS BY THE STUDIO

Pieces we drew for one room and kept making.

KIN objects are made in small batches with the workshops we use on commissions. They are not stocked and not sold online — write to the studio and we will tell you what is possible.

A sculptural table lamp with a hand-thrown ceramic base in umber glaze and a pleated paper shade, photographed on a warm cream background.

Marl Lamp

Hand-thrown stoneware, umber glaze, pleated paper shadeH 24" × Ø 13"

Drawn for a bedside where nothing standard was the right height. The shade is pleated by hand, so no two throw the same edge of light.

A low lounge chair with a curved burl wood frame and cream bouclé upholstery on a warm cream background.

Halle Chair

Burl walnut frame, wool boucléH 27" × W 31" × D 32"

A low chair for rooms that already have a sofa. The frame is cut from a single burl so the grain runs around the arm in one piece.

A large hand-built stoneware vessel with a rough umber exterior and a glossy glazed interior.

Kiln Vessel

Hand-built stoneware, raw exterior, glazed interiorH 17" × Ø 15"

Big enough for branches rather than flowers. Left raw outside and glazed inside, which is the only reason it holds water.

A folded stack of handwoven wool throws in umber, ochre and cream with fringed edges.

Fold Throw

Handwoven wool, fringed edge79" × 55"

Woven in three colorways off one warp, so the stack reads as one thing on a bench and as three different objects in three different rooms.

Made in small batches, not stocked.
